In this lecture, we will introduce foods to help children’s sleep:
Focus on proteins and edible fiber
Consuming carbohydrate in whole-wheat bread, Crackers, potatoes, fruits and etc. and also proteins in legumes, eggs, dairy products and etc. helps a deeper sleep for children.
Pasta which is made from whole flour will release insulin. Once there, insulin turns into serotonin, which murmurs: “time to sleep”.
Eliminate food which contains caffeine
Be careful about caffeine resources like tea or chocolate. Don’t give your children drinks and meals with caffeine at least not less than 6 hours before their bedtime.

Bananas
Bananas are the best resources for magnesium which is a muscle relaxant and helps to sleep comfortably. (bananas are practically a sleeping pill in peel!) Bananas contain a bit of soothing melatonin and serotonin which provide a good sleep.
Rice
Rice has a high Glycemic index. It means that eating rice will rapidly boost energy levels but after couple of hours it will reduce and your child will be ready for sleep.
Spinach
These powerhouse vegetables like spinach and lettuce boasts a long list of nutrients, including sleep-promoting tryptophan. This is one of the best sleep inducers for your children and helps them a well-qualified sleep.

Red meat
Iron existence in red meat helps the body to have enough energy during daytime. It’s the most famous source of tryptophan which is good sleep inducers, so consume a slice of meat in the early night so that it can be digested.

Eating a heavy meal near the bedtime for children increase their bodies metabolism and without a doubt they will sleep rough so it is better to give your children’s meal at least 1.30 or 2 hours before their bedtime.
